Are We Fighting the Right War in Afghanistan?
August 4, 2009
Best-selling novelist and screenwriter Steven Pressfield stops by the Editor's Desk to talk to Ward about the current U.S. strategy in Afghanistan and whether it has any hopes of being effective. Can we win where other powerful military powers have lost? And do our tactics take into account the tribal societies that make up the far reaches of a challenging country?
Watch Steve's amazing video blogs on the war here.

Thanks to Ward and Steven Pressfield for a great podcast. Very enlightening!

I have listen to many of your videos on Tribal societies, and on Afghanistan! We aren't going to win a war with these people. I was in the Marines and was wounded in 1969! I went back in 70! I love my country! It the same thing all over again, We would rather let our children die and be wounded, then truely win? We could use this war, to end all wars! But we won't simple because of world opinion! It's very sad! All the men and women that will die? Because we are really cowards and are lead by cowards! God Bless America! USMC!
