How Will History View Clinton as Commander-in-chief?

Podcast_Clinton Pulitzer Prize-winning author Taylor Branch stops by the Editor's Desk to talk about "The Clinton Tapes - Wrestling History with the President," his new book about Bill Clinton's years in the White House. What's the inside story behind "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"?  How did Clinton's relationship with the Pentagon change over the years?  How did his approach to foreign policy prevent or create the War on Terror?  And what did the Lewinski Scandal do to taint his place in history?

The podcasts says the military did well in the Clinton years. If I could go back in time I would like to take the editor to my unit and show him the equipment awaiting repairs that we could not fix because there was no money for repair parts. I could take him out to the range and show him troops with their side arms holstered because there were no funds for the ammo they needed to shoot one freakin' time a year. If you weren't a high priority unit during the Clinton years you got squat.
